Выглядит просто замечательно, и играется так же в плане фпс, но дайсам нужно фиксить лаги внезапные, что на лоу что на ультре, прибавилось много частиц при разрушении, от бумажек до картонок, боюсь представить что будет в клоз картах.

Отражения на небоскребах странные. Если они статичные, то почему тогда такое появляется, а если реалтайм, то почему ничего динамического в них не отражается.. Вообще чем-то похоже на то, что было в KZ:SF, там вроде статические.

бетка же, скорее всего еще не все фишки включены, чтоб движок не грузить, игра явно хуже того убойного видео ролика с разбившимся джипом на E3, хотя, тут все же мульт, могли и просто так подрезать в угоду скорости, а может опять сосноли восьмого поколения

Где-то это разбиралось, когда срач был, есть ли там рейтрейсинг, аль нет, попробую нагуглить.

Limitations and Future Work

To summarize, we have presented a GPU-based algorithm for simulating dynamic glossy reections in real-time. Our solution combines a fast GPU ray tracer with adaptive LOD control and hardware texture ltering, achieving 23x speedup over the base ray tracer that does not apply LOD control.

 

Our current algorithm is limited in several ways. First, our particular ray tracing implementation limits us to geometry image models and the BVH acceleration structure. It is possible to extend the work to more general representations and acceleration structures such as kd-tree. This would require providing a reasonable estimate of the solid angle and an approximate intersecting geometry at each node in the ray tracing hierarchy. We believe this is possible and would like to explore various options in future work.

 

Second, our algorithm currently requires a scene model to be classied as either a diffuse or glossy object, and we compute only one bounce of reections from the diffuse objects to glossy objects.

This disables self-reections or transfer paths that start from glossy objects. This restriction can be alleviated by using spherical harmonics or other basis functions to store low-frequency view-dependent information. However, high-frequency glossy to glossy reections will still be challenging to simulate.
